I grew up with Persian cats and while I will admit that those are some gorgeous cats that certainly do look nice, they are absolutely impossible to keep well groomed if you ask me. I grew up having so much cat fur on my clothes and in my bed that it just drove me nuts. When I got old enough to have a cat of my own I chose Ragdoll kittens. Ragdolls are just as beautiful and showy as Persians but the grooming is so much less. Plus, I honestly think that my cats are a lot sweeter than any Persians we ever had.
