How Safe Is it To Download Files and Music?

Cynthia has been looking at getting a new computer in February.  She has looked at several desktops as well as laptops.  She still is not sure which one she would like to get.  She likes the idea of having a laptop because it gives her more options and mobility.  Her friend Bryan suggested she get a desktop along with good speakers and sub-woofer.  He told her she could search on line for ares free download and set up a great music center on her computer and have the greatest music player right from her computer.
