Unemployment Benefits if Fired from Job – Is It Possible?

I was happy and contented with the job I landed as a waiter in one of the most famous restaurants in our town. I enjoyed working there because my co-workers were all very pleasant and it seemed like we had the same goals in life. We only wanted to work for our family and to provide them with whatever it is that they need. Unfortunately, I encountered an unexpected circumstance that made the management fired me. Someone from my colleagues told the manager that I was engaging to unscrupulous activities inside the establishment. I felt bad for it destroyed my reputation and I lost my source of income because of something I didn’t do. Now, I want to know if one can avail of unemployment benefits if fired from job. I need it to at least have something to feed for my family.
