Quality wiperblades are so important these days for safe driving on our busy roads. A high percentage of all vehicles these days have wiperblades fitted, even airplanes have similar blades. J. H. Apjohn an american was the inventor of the original wiperblade. The ‘swinging arm’ blade that we recognise today was the idea of Mary Anderson, this was also in 1903. A combination of the wiperblade and a pump containing fluid is used to gain good visibility. There are problems when using water in the pumps as it will freeze in cold weather and will be useless until the ice thaws. In the years following the technology of the wiperblades advanced enough so that wiperbldes were added to the rear window and to headlights. We now have advances in technology so much so that we now have rain sensitive wiperblades that activate when it rains.
